All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth

This is the season of giving, whether it is for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or just to exchange gifts. So, with so many people here self-employed and thus lacking a company to give out those turkey dinners, terrific bonuses, and whatnot; I thought it would be a great idea to provide a list of real and fantasy gifts that would be perfect for the freelancer in your family, even if it is yourself. The Perfect Gift For Every Freelancer A Matched Set of Angel and Devil ‘lancers: Set the “Devil ‘lancer” on one shoulder to tell you what you should be saying to that client that wants five more changes in two days and then doesn’t give you the materials until the day they want the job done

What’s Your Learning Plan for 2010?

I love to learn new ideas and new skills. The phrase Lifelong Learning truly defines the way I live my life. Last week I wrote my “learning plan” for 2010, in terms of business topics I want to study … I also plan to learn to play the guitar! By asking a series of questions, I came up with a plan for what I want to study next year, which helps me to keep focused on specific topics and not go running around trying to learn everything at the same time , which leads to poor absorption and implementation of what I learned.

Choose One Project for 2010

I’m just like you — just like every entrepreneur I know. I have a million ideas and I want to do them ALL right away! But I learned an important and enlightening lesson last year that I’d like to share with you. Marge Simpson to pose for Playboy cover

According to a recent press release, one of the world’s most recognizable female cartoon characters is about to set a first, so some  will have us believe.  Marge Simpson, wife and mother of America’s favorite dysfunctional family is going to pose for the November issue of Playboy magazine. Marge is being reported as “the first cartoon character ever” to be featured on the cover of Playboy.  This is well hyped and not surprisingly the reaction to this event has been varied and heated, but is it accurate? Not really.  According to a flood of responses, it seems Leroy Neiman’s “Femlin” cartoon character was the first cartoon character to be featured (in August 1960) and was subsequently featured many times
